PRP hair restoration treatment for the scalp at LUVION

THE LUVION APPROACH

A treatment series begins with the right diagnosis and expectations.

PRP hair restoration uses a blood-derived platelet-rich plasma preparation placed into selected scalp areas. It may be considered for certain patterns of thinning, but it is not appropriate for every cause of hair loss.

The consultation reviews health history, medications, pattern and duration of loss, scalp condition, prior treatment, and whether additional medical evaluation may be appropriate.

Candidacy first

Hair loss has many causes. Treatment planning begins with history, pattern, scalp assessment, and realistic goals.

Series-based care

PRP hair restoration is commonly planned as a series with scheduled reassessment rather than a single isolated treatment.

Progress documented

Standardized photos and follow-up help evaluate change over time.

May be considered for

  • Selected patterns of hair thinning
  • Patients able to complete a treatment series
  • Individuals with realistic expectations for gradual change
  • Patients appropriate for treatment after medical and scalp assessment

What to expect

  • Consultation and standardized baseline photography
  • Blood collection, preparation, and targeted scalp injections
  • Discussion of tenderness, bruising, shedding, limited response, and other risks
  • A follow-up and maintenance schedule based on response

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before your appointment

Does PRP work for every type of hair loss?

No. Hair loss has different causes, and PRP is not appropriate for every diagnosis or stage. Additional medical evaluation may be recommended.

How many treatments are recommended?

Treatment is generally planned as a series, but the number and timing depend on the provider’s protocol, individual candidacy, and response.

When should progress be assessed?

Hair cycles are slow. Your provider will establish a photo and follow-up schedule that allows meaningful comparison over time.
